Apologies if this has been posted before, i'm in a tad of a rush at the moment and I just wanted to leave a topic before I left.
When I put my third WoW CD in to install, it installs texture.MPQ and then stops at 225, 280KB. I left it for 3/4 of an hour at that point and when I returned there had been no change in the modification and/or size of the file.
I was wondering whether this was to do with my CD, DVD Drive or my computer?
Edit://
Since my first lesson got cancelled I searched and found a topic. It said to copy the files, but it won't let me copy the files from the disk, and another says download the client, but i'm not wasting 2.4GB of my computer space with a WoW installer. Can anyone offer any other solutions?
Thanks a ton.
BTW: PC specs;
eMachines 3220
Intel Celeron 2.80GHz processor
504MB RAM
Thanks :D

Return the game....
Buy the game from direct2drive.com and download it at high bandwidth there...

I might just do that, at the moment my installer keeps telling me the C:\ Drive is full so it can't run.. even though I have 33GB free.
I'm waiting to get my other PC fixed, so once that's fixed I might consider attempting installing on that one.
If I do download off the website, can I use my legitimate/paid account to run it? It says a trial, but is it the full installation? Thanks

yeah

this the the official client if you want to give that a try... I ran into the same problem as you did and after a lot of trouble shooting downloading the client was my only option.

Just as some added info, the disks on which WoW tend to come, don't play nice with certain types of cd-rom/dvd-rom drives. Seems to be some type of brand X doesn't like brand Y issue. Plus a lot of the disks aren't exactly of the normal standard quality, which you find with computer games, so you'll come across things like easier to scratch, easier to find that the cd/dvd contains nothing but corrupted data etc. Known issue, nothing much we can do about it here. Most likely, VU, Blizzard's owners picked the cheapest cd-presser they could get. And you get what you pay for.

From the basic specs of your PC, I think that you should worry about getting a couple upgrades before you try to run wow. With how low they are, you probably won't enjoy it even if you get it installed.
